August 202110 August 2021 And the very wet weather continues, but thankfully Lights Beach has been reopened and we were able to go for a look at the new carpark and lookout, both of which are very good. On the way into the beach there are some stunted tree's, or maybe even bushes. They are quite wind blown and shaped, and have always caught my eye. The problem has been how to compose a photo that matches what I see, so it may take a number of tries before I am happy with the shot.
The small forest of stunted trees.
Some long exposure photography of the beach. 23 August 2021 Our time at the farm comes to an end tomorrow, and no more chook sitting and we will be heading back to the vineyard. The pruning is done, and just in time as bud burst happened today. So now we are cultivating the ground where we pulled out some old vines last year. Once done we will be planting new vines just before they wake up ready to grow. 31 August 2021 So the end of the month came and we are almost finished cultivating the ground and getting ready to pull the rootlings out of the ground at the farm and to plant them in their new home. Mark Twain once said "...years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do that by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover." - and so we will. |
